Junior Kindergarten (4 Years)
Winnipeg South Academy offers a full day Junior Kindergarten Montessori program. Children will work in the areas of Language, Mathematics, Sensorial, Practical Life, Science & Culture, and Art. Children are challenged and encouraged to become independent, and confident learners, and to prepare for Kindergarten. Swimming and Music are both included in full time programming. Half day and part time options are also available.
Full Day Kindergarten
Winnipeg South Academy offers a full day Kindergarten program. Our full time students benefit from both the Montessori Kindergarten program and the Dept. of Education curriculum outlined by the Province of Manitoba. Our Kindergarten students wear school uniforms. Students take part in field trips and on-site workshops. Music classes are included in full time programming. Extended Day programming is also available.
Elementary - Grades 1-4
Our WSA Elementary program is a multi-age classroom. This program incorporates aspects of the Montessori philosphy to enhance the curriculum outlined by the Province of Manitoba, and challenges students in a safe, caring environment. Our Elementary students wear school uniforms. Students take part in field trips and on-site workshops. Music classes are included. Extended Day programming is also available.

April has her ECE III diploma in Early Childhood Program Management, Montessori certification from the North American Montessori Centre, and is also a workshop facilitator for Montessori teachers, ECEs and parents. |
